Dr. Barta grew up in Richardson, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Medical and Scientific Humanities, as well as a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration at The University of Texas at Dallas. She earned her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from The University of North Texas Health Science Center - Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth and completed her residency training at UT-Southwestern/Parkland Hospital in Dallas. She is board-certified in Family Medicine.
Dr. Barta has worked in many different types of clinical settings providing primary health care services, including multiple outpatient clinics, urgent care clinics, various telemedicine platforms (“virtual” care), and home care. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, delivering both acute and chronic care, and primary preventive medicine.
Dr. Barta strongly believes that wellness must reside within each complete individual and that both physical and mental well-being determine the true health of each person.
