Manager of Clinical Excellence

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Excellence, this role is responsible for the execution of a culture of patient centered care and clinical excellence throughout the clinical setting. Oversees the day-to-day clinical operations of the clinical team and ensures the clinical needs of our patients, medical staff and support staff are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Clinical Excellence
    • Ensure all clinical staff maintain the highest standard for delivery of care to our patients
    • Serve as a role model and resource for all staff by setting an example of high standards
      • Complete MA assessments routinely
      • Provide a comprehensive training program for new hires
      • 30-60-90-day new hire employee rounding
      • Monthly employee rounding
      • Routine auditing of MA documentation in EMR
      • Supervise/guide MA skills and performance
      • Provide education/training/safety emergency drills for MA staff
      • Track certifications MA/BLS
  • Clinical Compliance
    • Ensure all clinical staff adhere to established policies and procedures and helps to develop standards which ensure the safest and most effective service to the patient.
      • Ensure clinical staff are following HIPAA
      • Ensure clinical staff are following OSHA standards including attire/closed-toe shoes/no artificial nails and personal hygiene
      • Responsible for reporting accidents/incidents and ensuring an incident report is completed and given to Director of Clinical Excellence
      • Ensure the quality control logs are maintained
      • Ensure standards are maintained when receiving and distributing medication samples
    • Regular Tasks
      • Oversee the daily operations and clinical staff at assigned location
      • Main contact person for clinical needs at specified location
      • Support MA team and providers as needed
      • Oversee and support day-to-day office flow
      • Develop the staffing schedule
      • Weekly Clinical Update
      • Staff meetings quarterly and as needed
      • Conduct regular audits on the MA staff
      • Oversee MA completion of daily tasks
      • Oversee MAs are responding timely to URGENT MA chat on Teams
      • Submit payroll and time off
      • Approve/deny vacation requests
      • Discipline, annual reviews and any other HR obligations as needed, including tracking attendance
      • Interview new staff
      • Assist with career development program for MA staff
      • Oversee outside vendors per clinic location
      • Setup rep office visits (1per week)
      • Caterer-weekly meal needs
      • Submit maintenance tickets per clinic location
      • Submit IT tickets per clinic location
      • Order supplies per clinic location
      • Attend meetings as needed related to clinic operations
      • Assist in the creation of new processes to maximize productivity and patient experience.
      • Additional tasks as needed based on needs of the medical and support staff
      • Additional tasks as needed under the direction of the Director of Clinical Excellence
      • Other duties assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Medical Assistant Certification or Nursing Degree required.

Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a medical group practice environment with at least one year of direct management responsibility in a clinical setting, including direct patient interaction & customer service.

Vision: Good vision, will be working in front of a computer, the ability to dial on the phone multiple times a day.
