Julie’s education, experience, and approach span both sides of the art and science spectrum. Her education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995 from Westbrook College (University of New England) in Portland, ME. She completed an Associates of Applied Science in Nursing, Summa cum Laude, in 2010 with Cayuga Community College in Fulton, NY. She obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing with a minor in Nursing Education in 2014 from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. She specializes in the Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (FPMHNP) program.

She is board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). A member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) and American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA). She has varied experience with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in healthcare since 2010. When living in Central New York, she gained experience with inpatient psychiatry and chemical dependency as a Registered Nurse. As a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry, she has experience in outpatient clinics, long-term and post-acute care, and college counseling centers. She has also served as an adjunct faculty clinical instructor in mental health for nursing students.

Julie’s passion is helping empower clients to reach the highest level of functioning through quality measures. Working collaboratively to provide a strong evaluation while developing relevant treatment recommendations with realistic goals and resources for clients and families is vital to ensure optimum outcomes. She consistently strives for integrative treatment options with a team-based approach offered throughout the services with Salience Health. She believes it is essential to promote value-based treatment of the mind-body throughout the community; pursue client-centered integrative medical and behavioral healthcare through advocacy, and educate about overall well-being, focusing on primary prevention.
