Maki Aneke, LMSW

"Maki Aneke was born and raised in Bronx, NY and has been a Texas resident since 2011. Maki enjoys studying science and has a Bachelor’s in Biology that she completed in 2017 at American University in Washington, D.C. It was during her undergraduate experience that she also found a passion for mental health when taking coursework in psychology. After working in the ophthalmology field for 3 years, Maki attended graduate school the University of Texas at Arlington where she completed her Master's in Social Work. She gained field experience in both acute inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care settings at University Behavioral Health in Denton, TX. There, she worked with a wide range of clients implementing different therapy methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodrama, and strength-based practice.

Maki is now a Licensed Master Social Worker who is passionate about delivering quality mental health care and increasing awareness about the importance of taking one’s mental health seriously. Maki joined Salience Health team to contribute to the delivery of comprehensive mental health and wellness care. She is also excited about advancements in mental health treatment, such as TMS, that Salience provides.

In her free time, Maki enjoys watching movies and T.V. shows, listening to music, roller skating, and trying out new restaurants. In the future, she hopes to travel more and visit countries such as Thailand and Greece."
