SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
Salience Health has an exciting opportunity for full time Clinical Therapist in the fast growing and diverse area of Dallas/Fort Worth. You would be joining a collaborative multi-specialty team that includes Psychiatrists, Neurologist, Primary Care, Nurse Practitioners, and Counselors that are all supported by well- trained medical assistants and an administrative team.
As part of a comprehensive behavioral health team, the Clinical Therapist will fulfill multiple roles as therapy provider and crisis clinician. As a crisis clinician, the Clinical Therapist will offer support, education, crisis services in conjunction with our psychiatric providers, and provide resources as needed for the patients. As a therapy provider, the Clinical Therapist will facilitate individual psychoeducational sessions, utilizing an evidence-based therapeutic approach. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Conducts New Patient Therapy Evaluations to gather patient information and assess patients’ emotional and mental health needs.
- Facilitates psychoeducational CBT individual sessions.
- Conducts crisis interventions by completing a risk assessment, determining risk level, implementing an appropriate intervention, and ensuring follow up after the initial intervention.
- Demonstrates crisis intervention skills and understanding of suicide prevention.
- Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients.
- Ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrates understanding of common psychiatric diagnoses and ability to recognize the behaviors associated with the psychiatric diagnoses to utilize appropriate intervention techniques.
- Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders.
- Creates individualized therapeutic treatment plans according to patients needs and circumstances.
- Meets with patients regularly to provide therapeutic treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress.
- Maintains ongoing communication with the treatment team.
- Involves and advises family members when appropriate.
- Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
- Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
- Follows all safety protocols and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Serve as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
- Attends weekly team meetings.
- Perform all other duties assigned.
- Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Attend all company trainings and meetings pertinent to position.
- Maintain required licensure.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITES
- 2+ years of working clinical experience with providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services to a full range of individuals from youth through adulthood.
- Valid license with all state licensing requirements: LCSW, LPC, LMSW.
- Valid malpractice insurance.
- Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this agency. Ability to work as a team member and cooperatively.
- Ability to maintain professionalism.
- Ability to stabilize crisis situations.
- Adheres to the culture of the agency.
- Must be able to work flexible work schedule including evenings on occasion.
- Superb organizational skills.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Skilled in operations of computer and use of appropriate computer software.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with mentally or emotionally disabled persons and their families.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to ethical and behavioral standards of conduct for Social Work or Licensed Professional Counselor practice.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensure: LCSW, LPC, LMSW
- Education: Graduated from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in clinical services such as social work, counseling, or psychology.
- Current with all state licensing requirements.
