THERAPIST MANAGER
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Therapy Team Manager will be responsible for providing leadership, coaching and direction for the therapy team and ensuring that all services are delivered in accordance with the highest quality standards. The Therapy Team Manager will support and oversee the day-to-day operations of the therapy department and ensure that all team members are properly trained and equipped to do their jobs. The Therapy Team Manager will collaborate with other departments to ensure that all patient needs are met and that all company policies and procedures are fulfilled. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Work closely with Program Director by assisting with interviews and provide initial training and orientation as well as on-going leadership and support to all members of the therapy department to ensure that they have the tools necessary to carry out their job responsibilities.
- Maintains open and on-going communication with director and other managers to ensure patient needs and staff needs are met.
- Maintain effective relationships with patients, providers, clinical and clerical team members, and all team members within the company. Maintain excellent communication and effective relationships with members of the field outside of the company to ensure continuity of high-quality patient care.
- Work closely with Program Director to uphold the core principles of Salience’s culture and help create a positive work environment, motivating staff to improve performance and being responsible for the operation of the department, measurement, assessment, and continuous improvement of the department’s performance.
- Monitor daily performance of therapy team members to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely.
- Demonstrates understanding of psychiatric diagnoses and ability to recognize the behaviors associated with the psychiatric diagnoses to utilize appropriate intervention techniques.
- Trains, monitors, and oversees the development of skills to ensure that team members can demonstrate an appropriate understanding of psychiatric diagnoses and a general understanding of the treatment of these disorders as required to complete their job duties.
- Attend therapy lead meetings with Director of Clinical Excellence and relay pertinent information to therapy team members timely.
- Conduct periodic staff meetings with therapy team members to ensure staff remains informed of policy and regulatory changes and updates staff on changes as appropriate.
- Intervene as necessary on issues relating to client complaints, concerns, and operational issues.
- Coordinates and supervise the activities of therapy team members engaged in crisis care and therapy services.
- Organize and assign duties and tasks to therapy team members.
- Establish therapy team members work schedules weekly and request backup as needed.
- Review and correct timesheets, review and respond to time off requests and coordinate payroll issues for therapy team members.
- Evaluate performance of therapy team member new hires following orientation period.
- Evaluate performance of therapy team members and conduct verbal and written performance evaluations 30 days, 90 days, quarterly, and annually.
- Identify and recommend solutions to the therapy team members and office issues or problems.
- Implement or recommend disciplinary action as needed in conjunction with Director of Clinical Excellence and Human Resources department and document all disciplinary action in an appropriate time frame.
- Assist Director of Clinical Excellence with curriculum development.
- Present to all Salience locations as needed and present to each location at least one time per week.
- Serve as a back-up for therapy team members as needed by covering crisis or therapy services due to vacations, illnesses, lunches, etc.
- Assist therapy team members as needed with maintaining workflow by returning patient calls, serving as a liaison between scheduling and team, sending out emails, saving documents to charts, etc.
- Attend all company trainings and meetings pertinent to position.
- Maintain required licensure.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- At least 4+ years of clinical experience and 3+ years of leadership/management experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
- Experience with assessment of level-of-care needs.
- Valid license with all state licensing requirements: LCSW or LPC
- Valid malpractice insurance.
- Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this agency.
- Ability to work as a team member and cooperatively with other healthcare professional and support staff within a clinical team.

- Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to ethical and behavioral standards of conduct for Social Work or Licensed Professional Counselor practice.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensure: LCSW or LPC
- Education: Graduated from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in clinical services such as social work, counseling, or psychology.
- Clinical Experience: Preferred 4+ years of work experience or equivalent.
- Leadership/Management Experience: 3+ years
- Current with all state licensing requirements.
