Amanda Lam-Kellerman, PA-C, is a physician assistant at Salience Health's McKinney location who is passionate about helping patients improve their mental health and overall quality of life through compassionate, evidence-based care.

Amanda’s background in family medicine gives her a valuable perspective on the connection between mental and physical health. Throughout her experience caring for patients, she saw firsthand how conditions such as depression and anxiety can affect nearly every aspect of a person’s well-being—from physical health and relationships to work, daily routines, and overall quality of life. That experience inspired her transition into psychiatry and continues to shape the way she approaches patient care today.

At Salience Health, Amanda brings a whole-person perspective to mental healthcare. She recognizes that a patient is more than a diagnosis and that mental health can be influenced by physical, social, environmental, and lifestyle factors. She takes time to understand each patient’s individual experiences, concerns, and goals and works collaboratively with them to develop an individualized treatment plan.

Amanda has experience in depression, anxiety disorders, mental health assessment, medication management, patient education, preventive care, family medicine, evidence-based practice, and collaborative, patient-centered care. Her combination of primary care and behavioral health experience complements Salience Health’s integrated approach to care, allowing her to consider the broader factors that may be affecting a patient’s mental health while helping patients better understand and participate in their treatment.

Across these different roles, Amanda developed an appreciation for approaching complex problems with curiosity, empathy, and evidence-based thinking. Today, she brings those qualities directly to her work with Salience Health patients—combining clinical knowledge with a genuine commitment to listening, educating, and helping each patient make meaningful progress toward their mental health goals.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and continuing to learn about health and wellness.
