Tahseen Shahzad MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. The Texas Board of Nursing also recognizes Tahseen as an Advanced Practice Nurse. She specializes in adult and geriatric psychiatry.

Tahseen has dedicated herself to providing quality psychiatric care to her patients. She believes in the philosophy of holistic care for both mind and body. During her experience at Inpatient Psychiatry at Parkland Health System, she has learned to utilize verbal and non-verbal communication to deescalate psychiatric emergencies. In addition, she is well versed in psychiatric medication, side effects, legal processes, patient confidentiality, diagnosis criteria, and evaluation.
