A New Treatment Schedule Option for Adults with Depression
Salience Health now offers Accelerated TMS Therapy, an FDA-cleared treatment schedule for adults with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. TMS is commonly recommended for adults whose depression has not adequately improved with antidepressant medications or who are seeking an alternative treatment approach.
Accelerated TMS uses the same TMS technology already offered at Salience but delivers treatment sessions in a more condensed timeframe than traditional TMS.
Acclerated TMS for Adults with Depression
Salience Health now offers Accelerated TMS Therapy, an FDA-cleared treatment schedule for adults with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
Accelerated TMS (aTMS) uses the same TMS technology already offered at Salience but delivers treatment sessions in a more condensed timeframe than traditional TMS.
What Is Accelerated TMS?
Traditional TMS is typically delivered once daily over several weeks. Accelerated TMS (aTMS) involves multiple treatment sessions per day, allowing treatment to be completed over a shorter period of time. aTMS is not a different therapy, it is a different treatment schedule.
For some patients, a condensed treatment schedule may provide greater flexibility when work, travel, caregiving responsibilities, or other life circumstances make a traditional treatment schedule difficult.
