New Process for Medication Refills
Have you ever found yourself frustrated with the time it takes to get your med refills sorted? We heard you loud and clear. But fear not, because we’ve made some changes to our medication refill process that we believe will enhance efficiency and convenience for you. At Salience Health, we are committed to providing you with the best possible healthcare experience.
As of Wednesday, April 3rd, all medication refill requests will be managed exclusively through our patient portal. This means that whenever you need a medication refill, you’ll log in to the patient portal to submit your request. You may also contact your pharmacy to initiate the refill request.
Here’s why we’re making this change and how it benefits you:
- Convenient Access Anytime: Our patient portal offers you the flexibility to manage your healthcare needs conveniently from the comfort of your own home or on the go. Whether you’re accessing the portal through our website from the top tool bar on your desktop or mobile device, you have 24/7 access to request your refills whenever it’s most convenient for you. No more waiting on hold or trying to reach us during office hours—simply log in and submit your request with ease.
- Direct Routing for Quicker Turnaround Times: By channeling all refill requests through the patient portal, they will be routed directly to the dedicated team responsible for processing refills in a timely manner. This streamlined approach eliminates any potential delays or miscommunications, ensuring that your requests are handled promptly and efficiently. As a result, you can expect quicker turnaround times for your medication refills, allowing you to stay on track with your treatment plan without unnecessary delays.
While we encourage all patients to utilize the patient portal for their refill requests, we understand that some may prefer to speak with a member of our team directly. Therefore, we’re maintaining an option for patients to call in their refill requests. However, if you choose to call in your request, you will need to leave a voicemail with the details of your medication refill request. Our team will then process your request accordingly, as timely as the process allows. Please note that there’s still a national shortage of stimulant medications. In addition, insurance companies have increased guidelines and requirements for refills, and might need additional paperwork and time before they approve refills for certain medications. This might delay how quickly you can get your prescription refilled and we ask for your patience in getting your medication requests fulfilled.
What if I Don’t Have a Patient Portal Account?
If you haven’t yet registered for your Salience Health Patient Portal account, here are two ways you can do so today.
- Enrolling Using the Patient Portal Link: This link is located in the top tool bar of every Salience Health webpage.
- After accessing the link, click “Create an Account:
- On the following page, select “Yes” to the two questions, and enter your Date of Birth and your email.
- Confirm your email address with the email Athena will send you.
- Follow the steps to set your password.
- Log in to your new patient portal account!
Enrolling Using a Direct Email Invitation
- After connecting with a Salience Team Member, you’ll be sent a link via email to register for your patient portal.
- Click the link that asks you to “Create My Account”.
- Follow the steps to set your password,
- Log in to your new patient portal account!
