Caring For Patient in the Plano Area
Avery North is a board certified Physician Assistant at Salience Health’s Legacy location, where she is dedicated to delivering meaningful, patient centered mental health care that supports long term healing and sustained remission. She brings a well-rounded clinical perspective to psychiatry, combining her foundation in family medicine with evidence based psychiatric care to help patients achieve measurable, lasting progress.
Originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, Avery earned her undergraduate degree from Baylor University in 2021. During her time at Baylor, she was selected for the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core Honors Program, where she developed a strong foundation in critical thinking, communication, and a deep interest in medicine. She went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Louisiana State University Health Shreveport in 2024, where she further refined her clinical skills and commitment to patient centered care.
Avery began her career in family medicine, an experience that continues to shape her approach today. This background allows her to better understand the interplay between physical and mental health, recognize contributing medical or lifestyle factors, and approach each patient with a comprehensive, whole person mindset. For Salience Health patients, this means more thoughtful evaluations, more precise treatment planning, and care that is aligned with both mental and physical well-being.
She later transitioned into psychiatry to pursue her passion for mental health, where she now focuses on delivering care that is both clinically sound and deeply individualized. Avery is committed to creating a space where patients feel heard and understood. She believes that meaningful care begins with listening and prioritizes building strong, trusting relationships with each patient.
Her approach is highly collaborative. Avery works closely with patients to develop personalized care plans that reflect their goals, symptoms, and lived experiences. Whether navigating depression, anxiety, or other psychiatric conditions, she focuses on practical, measurable progress and supports patients in moving toward sustained remission rather than temporary relief. Her work aligns closely with Salience Health’s commitment to measurement based and integrated care, ensuring that treatment is not only compassionate, but also effective and accountable.
Outside of her clinical work, Avery enjoys spending time with her dog, reading, and exploring the Dallas Fort Worth area.
