A compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner
Charlie Comrie has been working in healthcare for almost 15 years. She has over nine years of experience working in ICU and critical care environments and is certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Charlie is board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) and the American Nurses Association (ANA).
Before becoming a nurse, Charlie was a combat medic in the US ARMY for five years, serving one tour in Iraq. Her experience in the US ARMY fueled her passion for working in mental health and started her healthcare journey. She has seen first-hand what a lack of mental health treatment can do to individuals and families without the proper support and guidance.
Throughout her nursing career, Charlie has treated every patient as if they were her loved one and what she would expect from a healthcare provider. She advocates for patients by going the extra mile and takes a comprehensive approach when treating a patient, always putting the patient first.
In her free time, Charlie enjoys hiking, geocaching, going to festivals, watching movies, and spending time with her two daughters. She has a Basset Hound named Callie and two cats, Roxie and Cosmo.
